feet v calves

I ordered these boots, because my feet are 11W. However, though my calves are pretty muscular, the calves on these boots are too loose for me. I'm not overweight. My feet are mostly wide in the balls and then narrow in the arches, heel & ankle. That means that the fit here is sloppy. If I step in any substantial mud, the boot is going to come right off.

Still, I'm glad that my foot fits in the boot and I can cope with the calves being too wide.

They arrived very quickly. They seem to be in good condition and sturdy, tho I haven't had a chance to try them outside, yet.

Great boots!

These wonderful boots were just as advertised on your site -- roomy & waterproof. I wore them last week to shovel wet, sloppy snow. The boots were wide enough for my big feet, so that I could wear thick socks. My feet stayed warm & dry. I have been looking for boots like these for years!

Great boots for wide calves

I have wide calves and purchased a great pair of winter boots made by another company that fit a (what I consider) medium to large calf, but I needed something with a bit more flexibility and less warmth for mucking about in the rainy weather. These absolutely fit the bill with room to spare for my 18.25 inch calves. I bought the fleece liners as well, which I am less in love with... I'll just wear long thick socks because the liners pull out with my foot anyway - LOL.

quality and appearance plus

i love the accurate sizing and wide calf so that I can tuck my pants legs in. However I should not have chosen the wide ankle. Next time I will know exactly what to order.

They looked to be very sturdy and of good quality but they were much larger in the calf than I needed.
