Rain Boots and How they Fit

Other manufacturers work with a standard mould for their boot manufacture and just cut the rubber at the top to allow more space there.

We realise that wide calf rain boots need to be wide throughout the foot, ankle and leg and so have created our own unique mould which is genuinely wide fit. This allows you to slip them on and off easily and still provides space for thick socks for most people.

All of our boots are designed in the UK. The vast majority of our rain boots are made in Asia in a factory we have been working with for several years now. We are looking to find factories in the US that can meet our needs but we have not found one yet.

We provide a simple guide to measuring your feet and leg correctly. Then you can see which of our boots will work for your measurements. Take a look at our size guide here

Our boots come up large. We always recommend taking your normal shoe size even if you would normally go a size up when buying wellies, and want to fit thick socks. If you are between sizes (e.g. 8.5), then we would recommend sizing down to a 8 for example.

This recommendation is from 15 years of experience of selling our boots. We really do want you to get the right boot first time.

We manufacture our boots from 100% high quality durable rubber, which is vegan. They are built to last and we guarantee them for 1 year, which is longer than most other manufacturers offer, as we believe in the quality we offer.

We have been making wide calf rain boots now for over 15 years. During this time, every time we have developed new models, it has been based on the feedback of our customers.

There are millions of people who are not looked after by the larger boot manufacturers, and we want to help. Most manufacturers make wide calf rain boots in the same mould as their normal boots but just expand the boots at the top. This does not take into account the fact that most curvy people also need more space in the foot and ankle.

We design our boots from the sole upwards to meet your needs with our unique wide fitting mould.

We are proud to say that we manufacture the widest calf rain boots in the world, and have got tens of thousands of people back into mud and puddles for the first time in years.

We are an online business, so do not sell into retailers in the US. This allows us to provide you with the boots at cheaper prices by not having to pay the retailer.

We realise that it can be tricky to buy footwear confidently online but have created a detailed size guide to help you choose the right boots first time. Take a look here at our sizing page and if you still have any concerns or need help, you can email us at help@jileon.com

We have had a lot of customers over the years who have found our traditional boots too baggy in the ankles.

Therefore we have designed a new boot that should work for you perfectly. Take a look at these black and white spotty boots. They are still wide in the calf but more fitted in the ankle to make walks more comfortable for you.

Yes, we offer free shipping on all of our US deliveries. If you do need things faster, we can also do priority and expedited shipping at an extra fee at checkout

Being free doesn’t mean it should take a long time. But, delivery times do vary and depending on your location.

Our free delivery typically takes 4-6 days to reach you. You can also look at 2nd day or next day shipping at $14.99 or $19..99 respectively.

Unfortunately we are unable to ship internationally from this site.

If you are based in Canada, you can purchase directly on Amazon so please take a look there as shipping costs are a lot cheaper that way.

If you are based in the UK, you can purchase directly from our stock in the UK at our US website - www.jileon.com

Once our boots have been shipped, you will receive an email providing you with a tracking number to see when they will be delivered.

We use Amazon Logistics and they use a variety of couriers including UPS and USPS. You can contact them directly with the tracking number if you have any specific questions on the delivery.

Please allow up to 10 working days for items to arrive.  After this time, please check your tracking number and contact the shipping company directly. Often they may be having trouble with your address, and you will be able to provide better detail on how to find your house.

If they don’t have your parcel, please contact us directly and we’ll see what we can do.

If you are still having trouble, please email us at usasales@jileon.com and we will chase the shipping company ourselves.

We understand that buying boots on the internet can be difficult, as you never know if they will fit. We are happy to provide a refund if you are not happy with them for any reason.

All we ask is that they are returned in 'as new condition' within 30 days of receipt.

If you do need to return them, please email us at usasales@jileon.com with your order number and we will send you the returns details that you need.

If you would like an exchange, please arrange to send them back for a refund and place a new order for the correct size. We can't unfortunately do direct exchanges.

This very much depends on your location and the size of the boots being sent back.

We typically find USPS is the cheapest option but recommend checking Parcel Monkey which is a good comparison site for shipping.

We thought about this, but most companies that offer this absorb the costs in other areas – for example putting up the price of their products. We don’t want to do that, so decided to keep things as transparent as possible by letting you know from the offset that it’s our policy to charge for returns.

We offer a 1 year warranty on all of our boots for normal wear and tear damage. To save costs and time on both sides, if you do have a problem, please take some photos of the damage and send them to us at help@jileon.com together with your name, address and order number.

This will allow us to take a look at the damage quickly  and get some replacements sent out for you. Please don't send the boots back to us unless we request it. Our policy is to replace the boots within warranty rather than refund you
